DescriptionSeeking a full-time Plant Operator to join our team in Orlando/Kissimmee!The primary function of a Plant Operator is to treat wastewater, determine water quality, and release treated water to publicly operated treatment works. The Plant Operator plays a significant role in maintaining the safety and health of the environment.Essential Functions
- Responsible for mixing the wastewater chemicals and adding to them as needed
- Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of materials
- Samples and checks facility discharge for compliance with all procedures or regulations
- Performs cleanup of the area as required
- Check tank levels for necessary space for material processing
- Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations
- Wears and properly use safety equipment at all times
- Always works in a safe and compliant manner
- Works cooperatively as a team member with other departments
- Other duties as assigned
- High school graduate or equivalent
- The ability to learn procedures related to safe handling of materials
- Committed to growth in a company
- Collaborative with team members
- Good eye-hand coordination
- Organizational ability
- The ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed
- Ability to communicate with others for safety and efficiency requirements
- Schedule variations required to meet customer demands
- Varied weather working in hot, cold, and wet conditions
- Strong odors and smells
- 24-hour operation
- Standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50lbs.
