Mid-sized company in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a Driver/Helper who will be responsible for transporting onsite pick-up teams to and from job sites, assisting with loading and unloading trucks during pickups and deliveries when possible, scheduling regular maintenance for company trucks, and assisting in warehouse as needed. CDL required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Deliver equipment or products to and from job sites
· Assist with loading and unloading of trucks before, during & after deliveries
· Assist crews onsite when possible
· Work to minimize any potential tickets/fines with company vehicles
· Maintain proper logs related to each truck for CDL purposes
· Responsible for ensuring vehicles are in good operating condition
· Schedule vehicle maintenance as needed
· Work with logistics and warehouse as assigned on the disposal of recycling materials
Required Skills:
· Valid CDL
· Moving and/or packing experience a plus
· This is a physical position so must be able to stand for most of the day
· Availability to work overtime and travel overnight periodically
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing and walking.
· Must be able to lift 50- 80 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
