LIQUE Group is searching for a Principal Architect to plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, building expansions and renovations.

Responsibilities: 
  • Identifies clients’ priorities versus desires, budget, timetable and future needs
  • Determines clients’ preferences regarding materials, styles and colors
  • Prepares and presents preliminary sketches, designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule 
  • Creates detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical and HVAC 
  • Prepares scale drawings and contract requirements and submits for bids
  • Reviews, comments and ultimately signs and seals construction project documents
  • Collaborates with clients to select and award construction contracts
  • Partners with the head builder and clients to facilitate the building process 
  • Oversees a team of Drafters and Designers
  • Modifies new or existing plans, as required
Requirements:
  • Active Texas board licensure is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (or related software)
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills
  • Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references
