Lipscomb University is Hiring a High School Varsity Sideline & Comp Cheer Assistant Coach - Academy Near Nashville, TN
Duties and responsibilities of the high school varsity sideline and comp cheer assistant coach:
Must have proficiency in the fundamentals ofcheer(motion placement, sideline presence, stunting & tumbling) and assist in teaching proper techniques to the athletes at the 9th-12th grade level for sideline and comp cheer
Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbally & written with athletes, parents and coaches
Experience in cheering on the sideline at the high school level with collegiate level experience preferred
Ability to work with the coaching staff in order to create an environment that is productive for the team
Availability and willingness to assist the director and head coaches in running of practices and games in organized fashion with implementation of goals and our team values
Flexibility to step in and lead practices as needed
The assistant coaches leadership must positively impact the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional development of student-athletes
Maintain the highest order of professionalism and display the highest level of ethical and moral behavior at all times, including building positive relationships with athletes, coaches, parents, and the community
Aid in creating a Christ-centered environment and team culture of service to others that reflects the Lipscomb Academy Mission Statement
Aid in guiding student athletes in learning appropriate sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, personal responsibility and competitiveness to all student-athletes
Available to practice 3-4 afternoons per week during football, basketball and comp seasons (August - March)
Available for home/away games during weekdays and comp cheer events on assigned weekends (August-March)
Available in summer for practices as well as Cheer Camp
