There are two different positions for experienced Systems Engineers that have an active TopSecret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph to support programs that are located in Northern, VA. 

Job Duties: 

  • The Contractor shall lead and perform engineering efforts inthe areas of Windows and Linux servers, workstations, storage, andvirtualization.
  • The Contractor shall perform data center management taskssuch as physical capacity management, hardware installation and commissioning,inventory, decommissioning and removal, and destruction.
  • The Contractor shall coordinate engineering projectsincluding performing technical risk assessment, de-conflict implementations,and resolve technical questions or conflicts.
  • The Contractor shall gather performance and utilizationmetrics from infrastructure components and proactively inform the Sponsor whenthresholds are met.
  • The Contractor shall perform Tier-3 engineering and supportfor virtualization infrastructure, consisting of virtual servers, virtualdesktops, and automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstratedhands on experience performing engineering, implementation, and troubleshootingof VMWare virtualization infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience performing Hypervisor deployments
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of storage pools
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of virtual networks and servers and virtual workstations
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of automation solutions
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) and vRealize Suite
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of VMware vCenter and VMware NSX-T
  • Demonstrated experience performing configuration andmanagement of Cisco HyperFlex systems
  • Demonstrated hands on experience engineering the design,build, and configuration of virtual infrastructure
  • Demonstrated hands on experience performing administration,troubleshooting, patching, and support of virtual infrastructure
  • Demonstrated hands on experience engineering the design,build, and configuration of Linux servers
  • Demonstrated hands on experience performing administration,troubleshooting, patching, and support of Linux servers
  • Demonstrated hands on experience performing risk analysisfor proposed IT infrastructure changes
  • Demonstrated hands on experience performing systemmonitoring and analysis, including root cause analysis of system faults andoutages
  • Demonstrated experience working with vendors on systemtroubleshooting
