Directs personnel activities of department, such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments. May direct field testing of products and systems performed by field staff. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects; sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Familiar with a variety of the mechanical / biomedical engineering field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Have a strong grasp of good design principles and a passion for instilling them in the team. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Four (4) year degree minimum in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. 5 years product development management experience with 5 years medical device product development management experience.
