LINSOLENT COFFEE is Hiring a Coffee Barista Near Brooklyn, NY
L'insolent Coffee is looking for exceptional individuals. A person who cares about our clients overall experience with our premium farm-to-cup coffee.
We are looking to secure 1 full time experienced barista. The Job will start around June 4,2024. Hourly pay is $18-20, but can potentially earn more with tips and experience. Paid onboarding training.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter with a smile
- Professional appearance and decorum
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Effective time management skills. Simultaneously take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Operate coffee brewing equiptment like grinders, scales, and etc.
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, muffins and more
- Efficiently receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) using POS and mobile payments
- Keep the bar area clean at all times
- Take initiative in maintaining the stock of clean mugs and plates
- Preemptively check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Proactive in maintaining inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, maintaining supplies, etc
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures
Skills:
- Previous work experience as a Barista for 1 year
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations, food Handling Certification is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers' preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Barista Certification is a plus
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
- French limited working proficiency is a plus
