LinQuest Corporation is Hiring a Knowledge Management Specialist Near Reston, VA

If your answer is a vigorous, “Yes!” to these questions, then the LinQuest Corporation wants you to join our team to contribute to an exciting and dynamic effort for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, Virginia.

LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to help advance Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities to conduct mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs through the implementation of sound knowledge management (KM) practices, policies, and procedures. The selected individual will serve on a broader multi-disciplinary team of operational military subject matter experts, operations research analysts, and modelers conducting sponsor-directed studies and analyses using an environment and MS&A and KM tools being developed by DARPA.

The selected individual will join a dedicated cell in the curation of data and information obtained in preparation for, execution of, and output from studies conducted for DARPA and other Department of Defense stakeholders. The applicant will use a range of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), government-off-the-shelf (GOTS), and emerging third-party-developed knowledge management tools to collect, categorize, and organize information, report, models, and other information required in the execution of analytical studies. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implement Knowledge/Information Management strategies developed by the KM Lead
  • Execute or implement Knowledge/Information Management structures, policies, and procedures with respect to Collection, Categorization and Tagging, Curation and Version Control, Reference Management, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring content quality, relevance, and accuracy
  • Support organizational process improvements
  • Implement commercial organizational change best practices and oversee knowledge management systems
  • Foster collaboration and information exchange among teams and individuals, breaking down silos and facilitating cross-functional knowledge sharing
  • Must be experienced working with classified data of disparate levels and compartments
  • An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Library Sciences, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical project management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performing team
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Journeyman understanding of knowledge management principles, tools, and best practices with a customer-focused mindset
  • Experience implementing information architectures, records management, and knowledge management principles
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility
  • Eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Understands data/systems engineering principles and can identify data exchange requirements between software modules and/or subsystems
  • Master’s Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience related to knowledge management, performance of business process definition and business process modeling, and information system schemes
  • Experience supporting Joint Staff, Service Staff, DARPA, or other DoD customers
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with active SCI within the last 12 months
