TMC, a LinQuest company is seeking an Associate Electronics Technician to join our team in our office in Las Cruces, NM. The ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required

Description

The Associate Electronics Technician will assist with layouts, builds, tests, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, development and production of electronic components, parts, equipment, systems, and related products and services.

Requires progressively responsible experience in the defense industry equivalent level of knowledge and performance. The Associate Electronics Technician will require guidance and / or supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in discussions of the layout and assembly procedures and problems with engineering personnel and draws basic schematics to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
  • Assist in developing wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for as built system or equipment modifications or expansion.
  • Assist in testing equipment and devices to test products and devices during real world testing for functionality, operational readiness, and evaluates the performance and reliability of equipment in both lab and real-world testing environments.
  • Assist in building new power cables, enet, comms etc. customized per system and install cabling, electrical wiring (high and low voltage), conduit running and equipment integration dressing and testing.
  • Assist with building, testing and quality assurance of new production systems and products using signal analyzers, multi-meters and signal generators, etc.

and keep records and documentation of cable and equipment

  • Assist with assembling experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 1 years of electronic technician experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Abides by Company policies, procedures, and AS9100 quality policy.
  • Knowledgeable of computers and related to electronics
  • Proficient communication skills to work with team members and converse with customers and clients as required.
  • Develops familiarity with and use of tech-lab equipment
  • Proficient in reading and translating technical reports and documentation with MS desktop applications
  • Basic schematic reading and understanding
  • Exemplifies our core values
  • Experience with simple wiring and wire harness assembly
  • Experience with basic and advanced soldering
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting
