Position Title: Dispatcher

Start date: Immediate

Location: Ft. Detrick, MD

Type: Full-Time

Classification: Professional Support Services

Supervision: Project Manager

Description:

A Dispatcher shall conduct motor vehicle dispatching operations daily utilizing the current manual dispatching program or designated database system directed by Department of Army Non-Tactical Vehicle Authority at the requested locations during operating hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that vehicle keys, fuel credit card, TMP Book, DA Form 1970 or mechanized form and DA Form 2404 are issued to the operator.
  • Conduct a joint inspection with the operator for damages and cleanliness.
  • Complete DA Form 2404 for deficiencies or malfunctions and contractor will sign vehicle over to operator.
  • Ensure that vehicle keys, fuel credit card, fuel receipts, DA Form 1970 or mechanized form, DA Form 2404, and SF 91 are turned-in with log book.
  • Ensure that the driver IAW TM 738-750 has completed DD Form 1970 or mechanized form.
  • Schedule maintenance/repairs for any vehicle deficiencies that are determined.
  • Enter the time the vehicle is returned on DA Form 2401.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are secured when not in use while parked in the motor pool.
  • Be responsible for safe, efficient, and economical operations of all motor vehicles assigned to the installation.
  • Maintain files, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Skill in the use of Excel sufficiently to analyze information and produce reports.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Must maintain a state driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of dispatching experience.
