The Associate, Leasing position will operate independently but in coordination with the Southern California Leasing team. The Associate will be expected to support various operational and leasing-related matters with an emphasis in financial analysis, reporting, project management, and other leasing & asset management related tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Asset Management team in working with 3rd party leasing agents and outside legal counsel to negotiate LOI’s, leases and lease renewal transactions.
  • Represent Link within the broader marketplace by showing a high degree of professionalism.
  • Perform special ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned.
  • Support Link team members (investments, development, finance, etc.) in gathering market intelligence.
  • Perform various qualitative tasks including NER financial modeling, comparative lease analysis, analyzing market data, and assessing internal portfolio performance.
  • Review and coordinate the execution and delivery of asset management-related contracts (leases/amendments, brokerage agreements, property documents, etc.)
  • Review, analyze, and sensitize financial reports and communicate results.
  • Evaluate and present competitive market data and analysis.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process.
  • Develop strong relationships with the asset management team, investments team, leasing agents, property managers, and internal support personnel to help create a streamlined, efficient asset management function.
  • Produce reports for external clients or senior management.
  • Attend commercial real estate market events.
  • Limited travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of work experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, or real estate finance.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Real Estate Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related disciplines from a top-tier university.
  • Must have high energy as well as strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Strong work ethic, strength to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment, and an ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong negotiation, quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have true entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, determination, and initiative in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail.
