Job Requirements and Preferences:Basic Qualifications:Minimum Degree Required:High School DiplomaMinimum Years of Experience:6 year(s) of relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications:Degree Preferred:Bachelor DegreePreferred Knowledge/Skills:Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: -Developing category business plans and strategic sourcing for a category portfolio; and, -Leading sourcing teams to source sub-category purchases in ways that consistently produce significant, measurable savings coupled with high quality, value added benefits and enhanced customer support.Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: - Developing, implementing and executing procurement activities for $200MM-$500MM in goods and services within an assigned expense category area; - Driving sourcing projects while enabling compliance with arm's length, transparency, and fair bidding processes; - Supervising the writing and conducting of complex bidding in related commodity areas on a global, cluster, and/or local basis; - Building and maintaining supplier and customer relationships and confirming contract execution and integration of new suppliers in accordance with firm guidelines; - Conducting and managing spend analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking, and performance analysis for global, cluster and locally sourced contracts; - Collaborating with the US Strategy and Sourcing Director and global category specialists in the implementation and execution of the Sub-Category Strategies for their specified spend area; - Developing appropriate Procurement sourcing and operational tools and mechanisms (i.e.. bidding activities and issues) according to firm guidelines; - Applying negotiation and persuasion skills at various levels internally and in the supplier community; - Providing total category management, from sourcing through implementation and ongoing operations of the relevant Category and/or Sub-Category; - Utilizing advanced Procurement commodity-specific knowledge to support the implementation of a supplier performance management program; - Delivering industry leading practice methods and measures to confirm that the optimum balance of cost and quality is achieved in all contracts and processes; - Confirming savings are coupled with high quality service delivery and enhanced customer access; -Managing relationships strategically with third party business travel and meetings service providers to establish quality service delivery and continuous improvement over time; - Executing and supporting implementation of strategies for Procurement categories and related Sub-Categories, establishing alignment with Firm strategy and key imperatives; and, - Coaching and leading Procurement staff to effectively contribute to the achievement of team, departmental, and Firm objectives.
