We are a 71 year old family business focused on full service damage repair to homes and businesses. We are headquartered in Plymouth, MN and we complete projects within a 35 mile radius. Position Description:

The primary role of the Administrative Accounting Clerk is to perform routine clerical and accounting duties that support the organization’s financial documentation. You will be the hub of the daily accounting needs reporting to the VP of Administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and process account payable invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Prepare and post necessary journal entries to maintain accurate accounting.
  • Manage accounting filing systems (Physical / Digital).
  • Complete the final billing process and job cost closeout.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls and email communications.
  • Manage and maintain required certificates of insurance and W9s for vendors.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment questions.
  • Record and maintain depreciation schedules on fixed assets.
  • Prepare and file monthly Sales and Use tax reports with the state.
  • Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by analyzing information from the general ledger.
  • Assist with year end tax reporting as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Natural proficiency with math.
  • Knowledge of basic financial, tax and accounting principles.
  • Experienced user of MS office (Word, Excel, Etc.)
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or Three years of related experience and / or training.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:
