Lindsay Concrete Products In is Hiring a Maintenance Manager Near Alachua, FL

Summary:

  • The Maintenance Manager shall coordinate, supervise, plant and assist with work activities of all equipment, maintenance and welding operations to include but not limited to: repairing, welding, maintaining equipment and buildings, and upholding inventory of maintenance supplies and maintenance records.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, assign, and /or assist with maintenance employees.
  • Ensure assigned maintenance responsibilities are completed in determined timeline
  • Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used to carry out daily/future objectives.
  • Read, record, and inspect equipment and determine if equipment is malfunctioning, make appropriate repairs; the equipment includes but is not limited to: cranes, molds, facility storage lot, rolling stock, batch plant, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Track all maintenance and part numbers via software.
  • Maintain records and execute a back-up system of records for regulatory compliance and safekeeping.
  • Work with Safety Director on current DOT and OSHA topics
  • Perform a regular safety inspection of equipment to include utilizing the Lock-Out Tag-Out Program.
  • Expedite the repair of critical equipment and maintain the inventory of critical parts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager

Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors or contractors.
  • Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, mechanical and other related systems.
  • Have the ability to instruct and re-instruct all employees on the proper methods and/or procedures required should a problem arise.
  • Have the ability to train the employees as well as oversee all repairs required to conduct daily performance standards.
  • Make time for random inspections of any/all equipment and supplies.
  • Physically be able to satisfactorily perform all the essential functions of this job.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education and/or experience: Minimum high school diploma and/or equivalent; Two to five years of related work experience or training and/or equivalent combination. Operate other larger capacity machines. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Reading, Writing, and Communication Skills: Must be able to accurately read and interpret drawings and related material. Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing. Must be very organized.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds individually or 100 pounds with assistance. Regularly stand, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and turn.
  • Work Environment:
