Lindmark Outdoor Media (Elite Media Group LLC) is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Norman, OK

Description

This position supports the organization by maintaining trees and shrubs to improve the appearance of and maintain access to Lindmark Outdoor Media billboards.

Essential Job Functions and Tasks- These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  • Uses handsaws, pruning hooks, sheers and clippers to prune and manage growth of trees and shrubs.
  • Operate small equipment such as chainsaw and weed eater to manage growth of vegetation. Operate skid steer with multiple attachments.
  • Trims, tops, and reshapes trees to remove branches that block the billboard.
  • Removes dead and excess branches from trees and/or from around billboards.
  • Operates truck-mounted lifts, power pruners, boom trucks, loaders, tractors, power saws, and other necessary equipment and tools.
  • Climb trees, ladders or billboards to access work areas using climbing hooks or belts as needed.
  • Executes recommendations of tree surgeons in pruning, cutting down, fertilizing, and spraying trees.
  • Fosters healing and impedes decay by filling cavities in trees.
  • Maintains tools and equipment by cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating.
  • Loads and hauls away debris and trash.
  • Operates and maintains a Lindmark work vehicle, including trailer.
  • Travels via Lindmark work vehicle to out of state locations as needed.
  • Responsible for completing assigned work orders in a safe and timely manner.
  • Adheres to all applicable safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Work Environment

This work environment is outdoors.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements listed for this job are not exhaustive and additional requirements may be added as needed. Corrective devices may be used to meet physical requirements.

Physical Exertion: Prolonged periods of climbing and standing on ladders and raised platforms at extreme heights. The incumbent may frequently be required to lift approximately 20 pounds and/or occasionally up to 25 pounds for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in all types of weather and at extreme temperatures. May be exposed to higher-than-average risk of work-related injuries and illnesses from exposure to dangerous working conditions, machinery, and heights.

Vision: The incumbent must possess close, midrange, distance and peripheral vision; as well as the ability to identify colors, judge distances and adjust focus.

Speaking/Hearing: The incumbent must be able to give and receive information through speaking and listening.

Motor Coordination: The incumbent must be able to push or pull up to 70 pounds.

Requirements

 Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience preferred; completion of on-the-job training required.
  • Valid Class A CDL Driver's license, safe driving record, and experience driving a truck required. Must be DOT/US compliant.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and in a group.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to adhere to safety requirements.
  • Ability to use technology and computer programs such as: cell phone, cell phone camera, tablet, Google Maps, Google Earth.
  • Basic knowledge and skill of Internet browsers to access websites.
  • Basic knowledge of using email to send and receive correspondence.
