JOB SUMMARY
The Linde Instrumentation Technician/Operatoris responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an Air Separation Process at Kirtland, NM. This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires the employee to have problem solving capabilities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and production processes.
Technicians must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation and be able to work with minimal supervision. Technicians must be available for call outs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (somewhere around 80% Operational duties with 20% Instrumentation duties)
· Follow safe work permit processes, policies and procedures
· Provide technical expertise in consultation with engineering and reliability resources
· Plan and execute operations and maintenance tasks for assigned plant(s)
· Create and update accurate instrumentation-based service reports using a computerized maintenance management system
· Calibrate, test, functionally check instrumentation, analyzers, control systems and control elements
· Start up, shutdown, and operate the production processes.
· Optimize work activities related to planned and unplanned equipment outages
· Assess and resolve priority-based instrumentation and electrical issues as they arise
· Communicate directly with OEM vendors and suppliers
· Understand, Diagnose, and Correct Control Loop input-output (i.e. 4-20ma, 3-15 psi, etc.)
· Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Correct all electrical systems issues up to 600V
· Knowledge of Switchgear control systems and functionally rack in-out breakers
· Other duties as assigned
