Lindblad Expeditions is Hiring a Senior FP&A Analyst Near New York, NY

Now taking nearly 25,000 guests per year to some of the world’s most remote and pristine locations on our fleet of 16 ships, we do whatever it takes to ensure our guests experience the “Exhilaration of Discovery”.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Drive the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
  • Partner with business units to drive financial & operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Manage production of quarterly and annual board presentations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and presentations as needed to support decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support for the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role. 
  • Strong, demonstrable financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and/or other presentation applications and financial database and data visualization applications
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or comparable professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

$89,000 - $110,000 a year
This role is eligible for a 7.5% annual bonus.

Using the English language, this person must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend policies, legal guidelines, correspondence, and memos. Must also possess the ability to effectively communicate--both in writing and orally--with a professional demeanor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee will also be required to write and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

COMPENSATION STATEMENT

Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
