Helping Open Pathways to Education (HOPE):
When students can remain at their schools and receive the supports they need, they are more likely to be successful academically, have better peer and family relationships, and build confidence for a strong future. The Lincoln Families HOPE Program provides integrated behavioral supports for students, families, and schools to develop tools and learning environments for academic success across all levels:

  • Teacher Consultation: General support, classroom observation, and consultation with educators to maximize student achievement and reduce behavior problems.
  • Student Counseling: Intensive services to students whose emotional and behavioral needs are creating obstacles to their success at school.
  • Whole School Supports: Working with administrators in the integration of school wide culture initiatives and climate improvement strategies, and the facilitation of counseling groups that address common student issues.

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to a Clinical Supervisor the Clinician provides direct clinical services and after-care to children in treatment, and their families; participates in intake assessments; and provides clinical direction to the treatment team.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.S.W. or M.A./M.S. in relevant field, from an accredited graduate school program.
  • Possesses current license, is registered in internship toward licensure, or is license eligible.
  • Demonstrates potential to complete appropriate credentialing process.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills highly desired, but not required.
  • Two years of experience in providing direct clinical services to children with emotional/learning problems and their families.
  • Valid California driver’s license, with a satisfactory driving record and personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal services.

    • Bilingual Skills: Up to an additional $5k annually (contingent upon results of language proficiency test)

  • Self Care: Lincoln Families encourages and supports self-care for all employees so that staff are able to sustain themselves in this work and better serve our families. Staff create self-care plans and receive funding they can use each year towards those plans. Employees also have paid time away for self-care each week.

  • Professional Development/Training: Each year, employees can be reimbursed for expenses related professional licensing and other fees, as well as for professional development opportunities. Employees who have been at Lincoln Families for one year are also eligible to participate in advanced training series.

  • Student Loan Forgiveness: We are a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit approved site. By working with Lincoln Families, staff are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
