Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing care within our facility. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Duties:
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care for our patients/residents
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement comprehensive care plans
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights
- Oversee the coordination of care between different departments and disciplines
- Monitor and evaluate patient/resident outcomes to identify areas for improvement
- Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of hospice care, acute care, home health, and/or long-term care settings
- Proven experience in nurse management, including supervising and developing nursing staff
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and other healthcare information systems
