Employment type:Full-TimePosition type:Permanent (12-month)Start date:July 2024Reports to:Chief Financial OfficerLincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We also offer a coed program from six weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. We are currently seeking applicants for an Auxiliary Programs Coordinator beginning in July 2024. Lincoln School values working with a diverse faculty and staff and seeks applications from individuals who share our commitment to educating girls to fearlessly embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of full citizenship in a complex world. As an Auxiliary Programs Coordinator, there will be various responsibilities aimed at enriching the educational experience, fostering community engagement, and generating revenue to support the school’s mission. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Program Development and Coordination:•Conceptualize, plan, and implement a diverse range of auxiliary programs and activities including Summer camp and After School Programs that align with the school's educational goals•Coordinate with faculty, staff, students, and parents to ensure seamless operation of auxiliary programs, including scheduling, logistics, and participant engagement•Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff or volunteers involved in auxiliary programs to ensure effective program deliveryFacilities Rental Management:•Manage the rental of school facilities to external organizations or individuals for events, conferences, or community gatherings, ensuring adherence to school policies and regulations.•Negotiate rental agreements, determine fees, and coordinate with renters to ensure smooth execution of rental contracts while mitigating associated risks.•Maintain and oversee the upkeep of rented facilities, coordinating with internal staff or external vendors for setup, cleaning, and maintenance.Financial Management and Community Engagement:•Manage budgets for auxiliary programs and facility rentals, optimizing revenue generation and financial sustainability•Promote auxiliary programs and facility rentals to the local community, fostering positive relationships and attracting participation to support school initiatives•Manage rental income and expenses, invoicing, and payment processing to ensure financial accountability and support the school's missionOther duties as needed and assignedRequirements:•Bachelor’s degree required and/or relevant experience•Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written•Demonstrated ability to manage a budget•A strategic thinker capable of understanding the full scope of projects while seeing individual tasks through to completion•Experience with auxiliary programs, summer camp leadership, and program development•Demonstrate a warm, engaging demeanor towards students, families, colleagues, and the community•Strong organizational skills and attention to detailHow to Apply:Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and a list of 3-5 references to careers@lincolnschool.org.
