Description
The Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 is seeking an pleasant and welcoming individual to assist in welcoming visitors to the York Learning Center, directing phone inquiries and providing secretarial support to the York Learning Center Site Administrator.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related capacity, preferred
  • Must have working knowedge of Microsoft Office and Google suites
  • Must be able to work independently, yet as part of a team
  • Must be able to work with frequent interruptions
  • Must be organized and able to arrange tasks to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to stay calm and react appropriately in emergency situations and times of crisis
Additional qualifications: The successful candidate will display a warm and welcoming personality, able to create a positive experience for staff, students and visitors of the York Learning Center. Experience answering phones and operating phone functions, preferred.
Terms of Employment
Full-time, 260 days, 8 hours/day, ESPA - Secretary C, min. $14.45/hour, plus benefits*

*The LIU offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including:
  • Medical (for a nominal premium), dental and vision insurance. The LIU pays the premium for dental and vision insurance.
  • All full-time professional staff receive a $30,000 life insurance policy, which is paid for by the LIU.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP). For any employees and eligible dependents. You have the opportunity for 3 free counseling sessions per year, per person.

  • Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS)
  • Full-time employees who are scheduled for 260 days/year receive 12 sick days and 3 personal days. If hired after the start of any year, the leave is prorated.
  • Full-time, 260 day employees in this category also receive vacation time, accrued each month.
  • Access to the Lincoln Health and Wellness Center. For employees who are on the LIU insurance and any dependents on the insurance, you have access to the Lincoln Health and Wellness Center. Visits include no deductibles, little to no wait time, same or next day appointments may be available, virtual care is an option for certain types of visits, more one-on-one time with the provider; You also have access to a Patient Advocate/Counselor.
