Lincoln Housing Authority is Hiring an Inventory Controller Near Lincoln, NE

Lincoln Housing Authority is currently seeking candidates for the full-time opportunity of Inventory Controller at our Maintenance location in Air Park. You will maintain a large parts and supply inventory, evaluate new items, and maintain accurate records of all inventory along with other maintenance related duties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains the Maintenance Department inventory including parts for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs, paint, tools, appliances, windows and doors. This includes researching, issuing, receiving, ordering and disposal of parts.
  • Maintains various records of inventory received, inventory disbursed and quality management.
  • Evaluates new products for possible usage in the maintenance program.
  • Assists maintenance staff in troubleshooting.
  • Regularly performs service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Schedules and delivers tools, vehicles and equipment for repairs and service.
  • Assists tenants as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and two years of progressively responsible experience maintaining an inventory and supply yard desirable. Valid Nebraska Driver's license required.
  • Ability to operate tools and use parts relating to housing units along with maintenance equipment such as loader, backhoe, skid loader, snow blower, dump truck, drills and saws.
  • Knowledge of housing remodel and maintenance, housing construction, and safety codes.
  • Basic math and reconciliation skills related to maintaining maintenance inventory.
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multi-task several priorities and use solid time management skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with personal computers and spreadsheet applications desired.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.

Additional Information

  • Starting pay is up to $21.19/hour.
