Lincoln Financial Group is Hiring a Remote Actuary remote

What you'll be doing

  • Provides subject matter expertise and supports the development and analysis of morbidity and other assumptions for hybrid product alongside internal working groups.
  • Partners with Finance, ERM, Product, & Pricing areas to document, socialize, and garner support / approval for key LTC assumptions
  • Provides subject matter expertise and supports data gathering for regulators, the Society of Actuaries, and other industry or external studies.
  • Leads, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses to be used in actuarial recommendations and reporting.
  • Presents actuarial recommendations to various levels of management and other stakeholders serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Directs / executes approved strategic decisions and contributes to strategy creation for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and / or external stakeholders as they relate to the MoneyGuard business
  • Collaborate cross-functionally when necessary with Operations, Claims, Actuarial, State Filing, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Distribution and Underwriting to drive growth and maturity in the MoneyGuard business
  • Oversees development of & reviews actuarial memoranda, supporting exhibits, and other applicable files for new product filings and Annual Rate Certifications
  • Performs complex analysis and communicates recommended changes as a result of new and / or revised State and Federal laws and regulations affecting hybrid LTCi.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends within LTCi, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate developments into both current and future strategies.

What we’re looking for

  • FSA designation or ASA designation with considerable additional years of experience
  • LTC product knowledge necessary, hybrid knowledge preferred
  • General insurance / business knowledge
  • Comfort working / managing relationships with and communicating across various teams and levels of seniority, including effective challenge and independent thinking
  • Strong project management skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects
  • Experience leading early to mid-career actuarial students

Pay Range : $105,301 - $190,000 Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.

The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.

Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
