Position Summary:

Provide communication and support for service projects throughout various stages to all necessary departments and individuals. The Service Project Manager’s core focus is, which includes numerous operations such as Controls, PLC design, programming, motion control, robotic material handling, robotic programming, robotic vision, laser welding, GMAW, GTAW, plasma cutting, automated sawing and other hard automation. This position must take initiative to meet project timelines, hours, budgets and coordinate project teams remotely or on-site at the customer.

The Service Project Manager will spend the majority of their time serving in a remote capacity. There will be some portion of their time spent traveling to Lincoln Electric Automation US-based locations for training and collaboration.

Role qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
  • Play an active role in building customer account relationships and communicating issues that could impact customer satisfaction.
  • Play an active role determining customer related processes/requirements and how they relate to our product.
  • Provide high-level, on-site support to our Customer (if necessary)


Position responsibilities:

  • Assist Service Leadership and Applications promoting market segment, assisting in establishing improvement goals and working to meet or exceed these goals.
  • Capable of leading technical and commercial discussions regarding a specific market segment or project
  • Project planning – develop detailed plans to manage each project from start to finish; review plans through the life of the project as part of, and with, other members of the service team.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines to meet expectations/goals.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews offering assistance and technical direction as needed
  • Assist in the coordination and management of the procurement and manufacturing process as is needed to insure project timing and budgets
  • Lead/coordination of on-site installation and start-up activities including commissioning of equipment and resolution of final customer payment.
  • The applicant should have a strong background of performing in the lead role of the management of turn-key systems that are tied to a stringent budget and outlined deliverables.
  • Manage project change orders as required.
  • Lead all project related customer communications
  • Focus on leadership and Departmental Performance Metrics.
  • Must be able to lead a team of resources through all process steps including, but not limited to, customer interaction, schedule development, concept development, overseeing design reviews, verifying adherence to customer specifications, monitoring project progress, and leading the start-up, buy-off and acceptance of equipment, including successful delivery and installation. This position is expected to lead multiple projects simultaneously.


Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in manufacturing and design of industrial automated equipment.
  • The applicant should have a strong background of performing in the lead role of the management of turn-key systems that are tied to a stringent budget and outlined deliverables.
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Industrial Robotic, Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
  • CAD (3D modeling) preferred
  • Computer proficiency, including spreadsheets and project management software.


Nonessential skills and experience:

  • FMEA, Equipment Capability, Safety (OSHA Stds)
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
  • Commitment to company values

  • Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
  • Know that the company EHS procedures are located on the ISO drive.
  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training
