PRIMARY FUNCTION
The press brake operator will use a Cincinnati press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate steel, aluminum, and InvarĀ® plates (typically ranging from 5/8" to 1.5") to form aerospace tooling facesheets.
DUTIES

  • Operate a hydraulic press brake to manufacture aerospace tooling facesheets from metal plates, forming straight rolls, taper, and dish shapes to 3D data using waterjet-cut forming templates
  • Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake as required by product plans and production schedules
  • Plasma and torch cut bevels
  • Fit facesheets to substructures/eggcrates
  • Measure and align materials to be used
  • Inspect products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and project specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on the press brake
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Document actions by completing production timesheets
  • Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience operating a hydraulic press brake - experience forming aerospace tooling facesheets preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and project plans
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to pass a drug test, with little or no notice, in compliance with the law
  • Ability to pass a background check in compliance with the law
  • To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
