The Regional Health care Services Manager provides advice, service, and guidance to a group of Health care Specialists.
Ensures Health care Specialist perform equipment setups in a timely and professional manner
may include highly technical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP/Bilevel units
Makes certain that patient education is an intricate part of the patient care activity and is performed in accordance with the patient needs and the company's policy
Ensures that complete and professional patient assessments are performed in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
Maintains current knowledge of respiratory home care techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of written reports
Ensures the maintenance of patient records in a complete and organized manner and in compliance with accreditation standards
Maintains department expenses within limits as determined by the supervisor
Participates in trade shows, exhibits, advertising campaigns, and education of referral sources
Maintains knowledge of the respiratory market and assists with technical support for staff
Provides updated information to supervisor in a timely manner
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (i.e. DOT, OSHA, DEA, EEO), as well as internal policies and procedures
Maintains ongoing quality improvement programs as directed by the company's policies and procedures
May perform equipment setups as needed in accordance with policy
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years experience in home health care or related areas
Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors, other referral sources, patients, and employees in order to provide advice and direction
Must be computer literate
Must have high school diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be a clinician authorized within his/her scope of practice (as established by applicable state law, or if none, by the applicable national board) to provide all patient care services offered by Lincare from time to time
Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing his/her clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law
In all states, CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position
Subject to state law/regulation, RNs may also be qualified for this position
If applicable, based on the requirements of your state, in addition to a valid state license, current National Board of Respiratory Care Credentials may also be required for CRTs and RRTs
