Job Title: Maintenance Employee
JOB SUMMARY: Provides routine preventative maintenance and security checks for property. Performs routine and emergency maintenance tasks as assigned for safety monitoring. Performs fire drills and fire extinguisher checks per policy. Respond to emergency calls.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in routine maintenance including painting, minor plumbing, replacing light bulbs, HVAC air filters, minor appliance repair. Must have genuine interest in Senior Adult care. Experience in health care field desirable. Enthusiastic, self-starter, and capable of using good judgment in making decisions.
EDUCATION: High school education desirable, technical school or trade license highly desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger; reach with arms and hands; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; climb on ladders; pivot; twist; turn; talk or hear; taste or smell. Must be able to lift, push and/or move at least 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision; color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to outside weather condition will occur. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintenance team members will be required to wear khaki work pants and a polo style/collared shirt while on duty or representing the community. The employee should always dress with safety in consideration. A name badge will be issued and required as part of the uniform.
