We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us revolutionize the way people move around our cities. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and build the core technology that powers our fleet of connected vehicles. With our rapid global expansion, you’ll play a vital role in crafting backend systems that can process requests from our IoT devices and consumer-facing apps. You will also have the chance to improve our suite of operational tools that enable our distributed workforce to charge, deploy, and maintain our electric vehicles. And the best part? What you'll do:

• Solve strategically essential technical problems, including building highly scalable foundational platforms, and revamping existing core application experiences.
• Scrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture we make.
• Building scalable, efficient, and stable software to power our electric vehicles and related features.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, Research, and Operations teams.
• Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.

• 2 years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
• Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews. 
• Customer obsessed. You put the customer first.
• Data driven. You have a strong data insight and rely on data to make decisions.
• Outcomes oriented. You focus on impact.
• Strong collaborator. You understand cross-functional strategies and involve key stakeholders in decision making.
• Technical proficiency to understand the design and implementation of projects and ideas. 
• Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities.
• Passionate. You’re passionate about Lime’s mission and micromobiility; you want to see cities transform to becoming people-centric and less polluted.

• Experience in IoT-connected devices
• Experience in Ruby and Go

 The anticipated salary range for this position is CA$108,000 - CA$132,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
