Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies the LMPC Intern’s primary focus will be obtaining exposure to management and leadership skills and responsibilities.
Intern will leave with valuable experiences and understanding of physician practices, hospital policies and procedures, governmental agencies, provider contracting and provider / leadership communication.
Intern will collaborate with the LMPC Administration, medical providers and associates on different communication needs.
Will function as a liaison to fully understand workflows between LMPC and LMH. Will gain a broad experience in the healthcare setting and have the opportunity to make key contributions to our business development efforts.
Must demonstrate strong and excellent communication skills and critical thinking with close attention to detail.
Education : 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
Licensure / Certification : Not Applicable
Experience : Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Skills : Must demonstrate strong written / verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of medical office or healthcare organization.
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative, patience, dedication, and flexibility.
