Lily of the Valley School is currently hiring a Preschool Director, which is a year-around exempt role. We are looking forward to getting a head start on the same and collaborating with you to explore for a mutually beneficial and progressive association in the offing.

Our center located at North Canyons Pkwy, Livermore situated in an extremely picturesque and beautiful neighborhood in Livermore, California. It boasts of a pristine and idyllic campus, nestled in between the tranquil and serene Tri-valley. Not to mention, the ease and convenience of accessibility (to freeways I-580) and amazing mobility it possesses.

The Zen and super safe neighborhood is barely 3.2 miles away from the Livermore downtown and 4 miles from Dublin Fallon neighborhoods. Additionally, the jovial and amicable staff supplement the mystic charm and salubrious work environment at the alluring Cornerstone Fellowship, Livermore campus, which also has a ginormous playground and parking!

Join our premium private preschool and team of educators. This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, supporting our mission to enhance learning and development for each child.

Unique Opportunity:

Collaborate with a dedicated team, receiving support from the Senior Director of Operations, Lead Teacher, and other departments such as finance, recruitment, and marketing, to ensure the provision of exceptional education and care for children.

Responsibilities

  • To supervise the overall activities of the center, aided by the guidance of the Senior Director of Operations & the CEO. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Hire, engage, train and develop a team of educators to be passionate and committed professionals.
  • Assisting with School Admissions & Enrollment, including facilitating parent tours and providing support throughout the enrollment process.
  • Maintain the curriculum in accordance with the LOVS standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety requirements and other relevant laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and provide ongoing communication about their children’s progress.
  • Managing data effectively, utilizing Lineleader and ProCare platforms for administrative purposes.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Engage in outreach efforts at the college and university level to recruit qualified teachers.
  • Weekend activities as needed to promote awareness, organize meet-and-greet sessions, host career open days, and conduct open houses to engage the community.
  • Required to be present on-site from the opening to the closing of operations for the day.
  • Provide coverage for teachers, including teaching and caring responsibilities when needed.

Qualification

  • Must have at least 12 ECE core units, 3 units Infant/Toddler course and 4 years teaching experience or an AA with 2 years teaching experience or a BA and 1 year teaching experience in a licensed facility.
  • 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, live scan fingerprint clearance, criminal record, and TB clearance.

Physical Demands

Caring for children can be physically demanding. The Preschool Director may be lifting and carrying children and equipment and may spend time sitting on the floor or child sized furniture. The Preschool Director will be expected to clean and maintain equipment and facility and may move throughout the community with children. The Preschool Director may come in contact with children who are ill and/or contagious and must take precautions to ensure the health and safety of all children, parents, staff and themselves.

Environmental Conditions

The Preschool Director will be working in a busy and occasionally noisy environment. There may be several activities and situations happening at once, and the Preschool Director will have to supervise and assist staff at any time. Able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors. Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, engage in physical activity.

Mental Demands

Caring for children can be stressful. There may be several situations happening at once, and the Preschool Director must be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.
