Lilly’s mission is to develop and maintain software products that meet the needs and requirements of both our internal and external customers. This typically involves a combination of activities such as gathering and analyzing user requirements, crafting, and implementing software solutions, testing and debugging code, and maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of the software over time. The goal of the Associate Consultant - IT Records Management at Lilly is to build high-quality, reliable, and effective software applying powerful methodologies that contribute to our customers. This individual will work closely with both the business area and the third-party contractors to deliver IT solutions.

This role resides in the Technology at Lilly Organization within the Global Records and Information Management (RIM) Team. The business area supported by this role is responsible for:

  • Providing the Global Records Retention Schedule

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific legal and regulatory records management requirements

  • Decreasing legal and brand image risks by appropriately handling records

  • Mitigating litigation exposure associated with the records discovery process

  • Reducing records storage and processing costs for hardcopy and electronic records

  • Improved efficiency through efficient retrieval of hardcopy and electronic records

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Direct daily operations support of the third party contractors supporting Lilly Email Manager (LEM) and Lilly Records Manager (LRM)

  • Consult with all business areas appropriately on Lilly Email Manager and Lilly Records Manager capabilities

  • Understand the technical platform/system for Lilly Records Manager in depth (Open Text) and a basic understanding of AWS Cloud

  • Must be able to write SQL scripts, use PowerShell, and will be responsible for handheld scanner programming

  • Negotiate, agree, and maintain the Operational Level Agreements with the internal IT Provider

  • Negotiate and agree with both the Customer and IT Provider any Service Level Requirements for any proposed new/developing services

  • Gather and Understand requirements of the business as necessary

  • Ensure computer system validation completed for respective systems (LEM, LRM)

  • Analyze and review service performance against the Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements

  • Deliver service in line with agreed service levels

  • Analyze data between Lilly Records Manager and Iron Mountain's IMConnect system

  • Handle communications as needed between vendors Planes and Iron Mountain and with the business when dealing with hardcopy carton handling

  • Deliver accurate updates/changes to the services portfolio and catalog

  • Set direction regarding new and existing services based on business needs

  • Provide regular and formal reporting of Service Level Management performance, including deviations from the agreed-upon values, and distribute this report to various levels of the organization

  • Implement and lead an ongoing service improvement plan and activities

  • Conduct annual reviews of the Service Level Management process and negotiate and control any amendments necessary

What You Should Bring

  • Hands-on experience in the software space of SQL Scripts, PowerShell, and handheld scanners

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams

  • Practical experience of cloud technologies and software engineering

  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, security as it relates to DevSecOps and Agile program management

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field

  • 2 years of experience in industry developing software

  • 2 years of experience with SQL Scripts and using PowerShell

Additional Qualifications

  • Project and/or service management experience

  • Previous experience with records and information management

  • OpenText Platform and AWS Cloud experience is preferred

  • Experience with programming handheld scanners is preferred
