The Supervisor contributes to the venue's success by directing and controlling bars on the property to ensure quality control, a positive guest experience, and profitability. The Supervisor’s responsibility is to direct the operation of the bar experience, attain sales and profit objectives, and maintain the highest standards of beverage quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
Acts as an ambassador of the beverage program engaging with team members and guests
Ensure prompt, friendly service according to venue guidelines
Oversees team member training for new team members and is responsible for ongoing training
Acts as main point of contact for pop-up events, partnerships, and sponsorships to ensure
Maintains and updates training materials for beverage program
Provides employees, managers, and guests with a positive experience and atmosphere
Direct overall activities and performance of employees on a shift-by-shift basis
Drive positive Guest experience through presence in the bar with the team and guests
Maintain complete knowledge of glassware, ingredients, preparation methods, garnishes for each drink
Presence at all outlet pre-shift meetings to present beverage updates, one cocktail, wine or beer daily/weekly focus
Supports Beverage Manager on month-end inventory count
Confirm all cocktail modifications within POS system are accurate and button builds are programmed and print correctly
Maintains working knowledge of beverage inventory, pars of goods, and communicates needs for ordering to beverage manager or outlet GMs
Manage the responsible service of alcohol. Monitor alcohol awareness
Promote an atmosphere of positive Guest Relations. Build Guest relationships and respond to Guest complaints or concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
Correct unsafe practices or conditions
Maintain bar cleanliness and organization for both the bar and FOH service areas
Ensures that proper cash handling procedures are followed
Assists in ordering of food and beverage items as well as controlling of cost and waste. Assists with scheduling staff
Ensures that all meal and rest breaks are provided when required
Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arrange for repairs, contracts, and other services. Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization for both the interior and exterior of the restaurant
Prepares reports at end of shift: Payroll & Cash drops
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Prior experience in a quality luxury hotel, restaurant or bar brand; depth of knowledge with craft cocktail bars with a strong mixology program
Knowledge of Food and Beverage operations; track record of strong leadership and strategic planning skills; and proven achievements in optimizing guest and team member engagement
Ability to work nights, weekends , holidays and p.m shifts
Strong interpersonal relations and leadership abilities. Exemplifies a passionate “can do” attitude with natural leadership and motivational skills
Working knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, financials, and budgeting systems with a clear understanding of cost controls and driving top-line revenue
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrate a passion for people with a strong network of contacts within the local events and restaurant/bar industry
