WHO WE ARE: Orchid Cove at Longwood - a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Longwood, FL is currently seeking an Activities Director. We are a growing facility in need of an energetic and talented new professional to come join our team!

As the Activities Director within a Skilled Nursing Facility, you will be responsible for the managing & scheduling of all activities for residents in efforts to provide them with daily opportunities for entertainment, exercise, and relaxation. The Activities Director should have high energy and advanced people skills, with a true passion for helping residents improve their quality of life.

Activities Director Job Summary & Qualifications:

• Promote daily activities both within the facility and outside the facility
• Plan, organize and direct Activity Department fund raising events.
• Maintain detailed records of activity programs and progress toward care plan goals.
• Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist; or
• Certified Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.
• Practical knowledge of how an Activities Department functions in SNF, ALF, or LTC settings
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with high level of energy and enthusiasm.
