Service Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Advisor out of our Reading Tractor and Equipment branch. The Service Advisor will coordinate the day-to-day activities of Shop and Road Technicians. In addition, this individual will work with customers to resolve service-related inquiries or concerns. This position will also track and manage service department efficiency, initiating ways to make improvements, implementing cost savings initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in multiple in-house and third-party computer systems (Kubota Link, Service IT, ERP system) to gather, process, and edit information, monitoring productivity and closing work orders.
  • Work directly with technicians to maximize efficiency and improve productivity within their first two years of employment.
  • Ensure work orders flow through the department staff. Evaluate accuracy for billing and audit for billing readiness.
  • Evaluate various reports regarding department metrics (overtime, work in progress, revenue trends, etc.) as well as quarterly reports for customers or potential accounts.
  • Respond to customer concerns or complaints with urgency regarding invoices or services rendered.
  • Create and maintain a system to track company supplied tools, PPE, uniforms, and equipment provided for the Service department.
  • Monitor the fleet maintenance schedule and initiate appropriate service.
  • Work with Branch Manager, Parts Manager, and sales team, participate in strategy meetings.
  • Assist Management team as needed on miscellaneous tasks and projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to managers, co-workers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on a variety of tasks.

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years of college or equivalent training
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience in automotive or equipment industry
