Lifetouch is Hiring a Photographer Near Danbury, CT

Lifetouch Preschool Photography captures the smiling faces of preschool-aged children. Our photographers provide preschools, childcare facilities, and families with high-quality images and a memorable experience from start to finish.

The Photo Admin assists the Manager, Area Photography & Operations in managing daily photography operations, coordinates and maintains weekly photography schedule as well as assists with onboarding and support of the Photography team.

Represents Lifetouch in a professional manner at all timeswhile adhering to all Company and school rules and policies and displays confidence and professionalism even during times of stress and in difficult situations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learns and understands the needs and constraints of each school / photography location as well as the photography program knowledge and skills of Photographers to appropriately apply this knowledge when creating photography schedules to maximize productivity and ensure high-quality, positive Picture Day experiences.
  • Builds an accurate and efficient weekly photography schedule for all jobs and reviews with Photography Manager for final approval.
  • Maintains current knowledge and ability to operate all cameras, lenses, accessories, and photographic equipment, in addition to selecting appropriate equipment, based on job and program type.
  • Collects and reviews and Picture Day Report Card information. Shares compliments and recognition with Photo Manager to encourage appreciation.

Escalates issues or concerns to the Photography Supervisor(s) or Photography Manager(s) as instructed.

  • Executes operational and administrative procedures (e.g., supply order forms, equipment return form) properly and accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Coordinates all scheduling changes and ensures communication with appropriate personnel including Photography Supervisors and Photographers.
  • Performs administrative functions (e.g., gas card distribution and gas log maintenance, ordering supplies, time records follow-up (e.

g., missed punches), photography contests) accurately by established deadlines.

  • Maintains inventory and records of equipment and supplies (e.g., wardrobe, hand sanitizer, combs, baby wipes).
  • Safeguards and properly handling job bags and photography equipment as well as cleans and provides general care for equipment.
  • Uses safe work habits including proper lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, squatting, and twisting techniques.
  • Demonstrates concern for the safety of all customers and employees by ensuring a clean and safe environment, following safety guidelines, maintaining awareness of children and reporting all safety hazards and injuries / accidents.
  • Safe-guardsall customer, employee and company proprietary and personal information ensuring customer and employee data iskept confidential at all times.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates schedule to pick up materials at schools related to the Family Approval program.
  • Assists with Photographer onboarding.
  • Takes initiative to resolve scheduling issues, in an employee and customer-focused manner, as needed.
  • Takes photos efficiently, within company standards (including Posing Guidelines and Photography Policies), that meet the customer's needs and the company's quality and variety expectations to create a positive picture day experience for customers.
  • Completes all required training and skill improvement tasks, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Education

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 2 - 3 years related photography experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year as a Photography Team Supervisor / Lead or similar role.
  • Working with children, preferred.

Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge of photography equipment (e.g., cameras, light stands, light meters, lighting effects, tripods, backdrops)
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., navigation, data entry) (specifically Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Detail oriented in the execution and follow-up of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize work.
  • Takes initiative.

Hourly Payrate : $17.00 / hour

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience.

The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.Connecticut : $14.

23 - $18.46 This position may be eligible for a bonus incentive, health benefits, a 401K program, and other employee perks.
