JOB SUMMARY: The MA/MS Therapist employee in this position is responsible for providing direct treatment services in the form of group, individual, family and psychoeducational counseling to consumers in Substance Abuse Outpatient Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Motivation (KSAM) required for an employee to be successful.
KNOWLEDGE AND JOB SKILLS: Ability to withstand high levels of stress. Ability to work at a fast pace under high degree of pressure from time and space constraints. Must be able to utilize critical and analytical thinking. Demonstrates a cooperative attitude to problem solving and conflict resolution with all levels of staff and in all interactions with families and outside professionals.
PERSONAL QUALITIES: Excellent communication skills. Sensitivity to the needs of others. Initiative, accuracy and dependability are important. Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
SPECIAL FACTORS: Must be able to produce a volume of work error free. Must be able to meet deadlines.
JUDGMENT/DECISION MAKING: Utilizes established corporate policies and procedures in making decisions. Uses sound judgment in meeting the responsibilities and performing the duties of the position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
