JOB SUMMARY: The Recovery Specialist functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team with the primary responsibility of monitoring consumer behavior while on the unit, developing treatment plans, discharge planning, and other responsibilities needed to assist consumers in transitioning back to the community following admission to the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

JUDGMENT/DECISION MAKING: Utilizes established corporate policies and procedures in making decisions. Uses sound judgment in meeting the responsibilities and performing the duties of the position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
o Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other behavioral healthcare/human services-related field preferred. Will consider applicants currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program who also have at least one year of experience in the mental health field.
o Minimum of One (1) year of experience in a behavioral healthcare/human services-related setting
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
