Lifespan Physician Group is Hiring a Clinical Psychologist for Substance Use Disorder Program Near Providence, RI
We are seeking a clinical psychologist to work at our Lifespan Recovery Center (LRC). Located in downtown Providence, RI, the Lifespan Recovery Center (LRC) helps adults who struggle with substance use, sometimes in combination with a mental health condition. The Center is a program of Rhode Island Hospital, part of the Lifespan health system, and an affiliate of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Our program offers rapid access to treatment and support throughout the recovery process for those trying to overcome a substance use disorder. The center offers a recovery-oriented program to address the medical and psychosocial needs of individuals who have substance use disorders, sometimes accompanied by conditions such as depression or anxiety. Our team works collaboratively to evaluate patients and provide the comprehensive, evidence-based treatment they need. Potential for a Brown University Clinical Faculty appointment. Option to split time with our Young Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Program (see below for more information on that program), providing intakes and psychotherapy to adults aged 18—26 years.
The Details:
100% outpatient setting
Work with patients ages 18
Diverse patient population (culturally, and economically)
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of substance use disorders
Conduct intake assessments, provide evidence-based ongoing individual & group counseling, and family outreach, support, and education, in-person and telehealth options available to patients
Work within a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, & social workers
Work M-F, hours are flexible
30 hours clinical, 10 hours administrative time per week

About you:
PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program
Completed a pre-doctoral internship in an APA-accredited program
RI license (or license-eligible)
Training rotations or specific experience with substance abuse and/or pain management
Desire to work in a team-based care model
Bring a passion for helping people especially those affected by addiction
Desire to work in a supportive environment
