Title: Mental Health Technician

Worksite: CCSU - Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit

Hours Status: Part-Time

Pay Range: $13.00 Eligible for shift differential

Brief Job Description:

The Mental Health Technician is the direct care staff of the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is a 24 hour program. Mental Health Technicians are responsible for ensuring the safety of the clients and maintaining the therapeutic milieu.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervise residents ensuring that they are safe and secure at all times

Implement milieu management systems

Document resident daily activities

Take phone referrals, conduct admission screens and complete admission materials

Conduct group discussions and recreational activities

Assist residents in utilizing acceptable coping skills

Prepare meals for residents

Contribute to general cleanliness of the facility

Supervise medication administration

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; valid Kentucky driver’s license and proof of insurance; acceptable background check (yearly)
