Position Overview:
A Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care across various healthcare settings. RNs play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs to develop individualized care plans.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient assessments, medical orders, and evidence-based practices to address patient needs and promote wellness.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Critical Thinking: Analyze patient data, detect changes in health status, and make timely clinical judgments to respond effectively to patient needs and emergencies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and therapists, to coordinate patient care and share information.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, self-care techniques, and preventive measures to support patient understanding and involvement in their care.
  • Wound Care: Provide wound care, dressing changes, and infection prevention measures to promote healing and prevent complications.
  • IV Therapy: Administer and monitor intravenous therapies, blood transfusions, and other infusion-related procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes following established protocols.
  • Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patients' rights, preferences, and needs are respected and addressed in the care plan.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, perform advanced life support measures, and coordinate with the healthcare team during critical situations.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control measures, and adherence to regulatory standards to enhance patient safety and care.
Working Conditions:
