LifeGift is currently looking for a Tissue Donation Specialist to facilitate the recovery process of bone and other tissues and organs under highly sterile conditions to be processed and distributed for transplant and/or research.

Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Tissue Donation Specialist and perform the following essential functions?

  • Perform aseptic recovery of all tissues according to LifeGift policies and procedures while maintaining proper documentation during the procurement process.
  • Perform donor identification, reconstruction, and post-mortem body preparation, and assist with clean-up of the operating room and/or recovery area.
  • Arrange for courier pick-up of tissue and completion of paperwork specific to tissue services.
  • Work with the organ donation specialist staff to support the development of community hospitals’ tissue donor referral programs and assist the staff with in-service education for hospital personnel, physicians, and the public.

Do you have the education and experience to be a XXXXXXXXXXXX?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least four years of clinical experience.
  • Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
