LifeGift is currently looking for a Tissue Recovery Technician to assist with the tissue recovery process and packaging of tissue to appropriate parties. This is a PRN/Per Diem position, and all TRT employees are expected to work 20 hours (or less) per week.

Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Tissue Recovery Technician and perform the following essential functions?

  • Assist in the preparation of the operating room suite and prepare the donor for the aseptic surgical tissue recovery process.
  • Utilize aseptic technique to assist in all aspects of cadaveric tissue recovery according to established guidelines.
  • Assist in the performance of each step in the collection, culturing, packaging, and labeling of tissues as well as the body reconstruction and disposition after procurement.
  • Maintain proper records relating to tissue recovery and be available for call during scheduled shifts as assigned.

Do you have the education and experience to be a Tissue Recovery Technician?

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have clinical work experience in the medical field
  • Experience in tissue recovery preferred
