Description

LifeCenter Organ Donor Network, a non-profit organ procurement organization, is looking for a Full Time Family Services Trainer. This position will train and develop new Family Services Coordinators. This position is responsible for ensuring the training program is effective, up-to-date and make changes and improvements to the training program when needed.

This position has an On Call component and will be responsible for working the call schedule.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Family Services Coordinator (FSC)
2. Must exhibit qualities of a leader and have effective communication skills
3. Exceptional authorization rate for both organ and tissue and work with management and the director(s) to monitor, assess and improve authorization rates
4. Work with Family Services Manager, Hospital Services Manager and Hospital and Family Services Director to establish goals and objectives for the FSC role to maximize donation
5. Assists in determining annual competencies for the FSC role and annual approach training for the clinical team
6. Vets training opportunities for FSC's through local, regional and national outlets
7. Build a Family Services resource library that can be used with donor families
8. Take five (5), 24-hour call shifts/month when an orientee is in training, returning to eight (8), 24-hours shifts/month when orientee begins assuming all components of the FSC role on a donor case. The decision to re-assume 8 days of call will be made jointly by the Family Services Trainer and Family Services Manager.
9. Point of contact for Family Aftercare department
10. Acts as a resource for the Family Services team when the department manager and/or Director are unavailable.
11. Will be the primary preceptor/trainer for all new hires. This includes implementing a robust orientation training program for these individuals.
12. Assists the Family Services team with in-office duties as needed.
