We have an immediate opportunity for Occupational Therapists.
General Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) plans and conducts the occupational therapy activities to improve patient function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Helps patients reach maximum performance within the limits of his/her capabilities. The OT is active in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and LifeCare activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations admitted to LifeCare Hospital.
Patient Population: Has contact with patients in a clinical setting; understands and demonstrates appropriate behavior when interacting with patients in the adult (18-65 years of age) and geriatric (65 years and older) populations.

RequirementsSupervision: Oversees and directs delegated functions of the COTA and Rehabilitation Therapy Aide.
Experience: Two years of experience in a sub-acute TCU setting is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school is required.
Licensure/Certification: Current license as a Occupational Therapist is required. Current BLS certification is required. All Occupational Therapists must maintain current licensure and BLS certification while employed with LifeCare Hospitals.
