Life University is Hiring a Head Coach- Women's Lacrosse Near Marietta, GA
The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of the ongoing recruitment of student-athletes to participate in the sport of Women’s Lacrosse at Life University. The coach is also responsible for all on-field (practice/games) aspects that relate to leading a competitive women’s lacrosse program. All responsibilities are expected to be performed in alignment with the department vision of being a leading institution in performance and meaningful student-athlete experience, and consistently demonstrating valued behaviors of respect, grit, constant growth, and integrity. Responsibilities
Perform all team-related and department-required administrative duties.
Coaching/supervising daily practices.
Schedule games (prepare contracts).
Oversee high school/college recruiting efforts – includes planning and supervising all correspondence between coaches, students, and parents in regard to potential visits by athletes to Life University.
Coordinate and supervise any scheduled off-season events, programs, or camps.
Prepare and monitor program budget.
Oversee scholarship distribution to student athletes.
Organize team travel (vehicles/hotels/meals/practices).
Ensure academic compliance of student athletes for Life University and all athletic associations.
Monitor academic engagement of student-athletes.
Hold student-athletes to high standard of community living.
Plan and execute fundraising initiatives.
Hire/terminate/manage any staff, managers, or volunteers associated with the Women’s lacrosse program.
Order necessary equipment for the program.
Coordinate with Sports Information Director to ensure team information gets reported accurately and timely.
Collaborate proactively with Athletic Care and S&C staff to ensure healthy student-athlete development.
Work collaboratively with all department coaches and staff members to ensure a supportive and positive environment
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
At least one year of coaching and/or recruiting experience.
Ability to demonstrate overall business acumen.
Basic knowledge of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rules and regulations.
Ability to interact effectively in a collegial environment.
Model integrity, character and leadership.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and social skills.
Ability to work effectively with a broad range of constituents within a diverse community.
Ability to calmly evaluate and resolve routine conflicts.
Physical Demands
Ability to relocate equipment and supplies to various locations for athletic practices/events.
Ability to drive to various locations.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
Work performed in various locations in and around the Life University campus, including athletic fields and gymnasiums.
Some travel required.
Flexibility to accommodate schedules of athletic events.
