Life Science Outsourcing, Inc (LSO) is a contract manufacturer of medical devices with in-built capabilities to offer clients full-service solutions through our six divisions. Clients rely on LSO to perform all activities required to introduce their products to market, from sourcing to drop shipping.In January of 2023 LSO acquired J-Pac Medical (www.j-pacmedical.com), a Medical Device Contract Manufacturer based out of New Hampshire to expand LSOs geographic reach in the medical device arena. Due to the recent acquisition and with over 25 years of growth, we are currently seeking a self-motivated Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor with a good positive energy to join our team at the New Hampshire Facility in Somersworth.The Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities associated with shipping/receiving logistics, warehouse material oversight, and inbound quality assurance receiving/acceptance activities.We encourage you to submit a resume with salary requirements.Job DescriptionShipping/LogisticsResponsible for coordinating all logistics and documentation associated with domestic shipments; coordinates inbound dock appointments and supplier/vendor dock appointments (as necessary), including preferred method of 3PL freight forwarding.Prepares Bills of Lading (BOL) for all outbound shipments and maintains archive for reference.Coordinates logistics and prepares country-specific documentation for all international shipments.Warehouse/Materials ManagementResponsible for receiving, storing, and staging of all warehouse materials.Performs end-of-month reconciliation and close-out activities with the assistance of the Supply Chain Manager and the Finance team.Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate effective warehouse management and ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);Manages Kanban system for warehouse consumables/packaging materials, boxes/corrugates, and pallets; works closely with Purchasing to ensure proper stocking levels and order frequency for Kanban items.Manages routine material picks/issuance and returns in ERP system.Performs cycle counts with Supply Chain Manager, as applicable.Manages motorized equipment program (forklift), coordinates maintenance program with outside contractor, and executes license operator program.Quality Assurance Receiving/AcceptanceWith the assistance of the warehouse Material Handler, performs all duties associated with inbound material receipt/acceptance, including receipt and acceptance entries into ERP and electronic Quality Management System (eQMS);Collaborates with Quality Assurance and the Purchasing Team regarding inbound material receipt requirements, documentation, and Certificates of Conformance (CofC);Manages quarantined material holding area.QualificationsHigh school diploma / GED or relevant experience.5-7 years hands-on expertise with domestic and international shipping/logistics and warehouse operations management; preferable experience with a GMP/regulated industry such as medical devices.Experience with preparing shipping documentation, including international documentation (customs documents, commercial invoices);Basic computer/PC experience (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook) and warehouse management system (WMS), ERP, and similar computerized management system experience required.Collaborative team player; partners with various departments, including Production, quality Assurance, and Supply Chain as “internal customers”.Able to operate motorized equipment (forklift) and hand/pallet jacks.Sense of urgency regarding logistics management and facilitation of inbound receipts; collaborates across the team on priorities.Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to function successfully in team environment, with internal team members as well as external partners and customers.Consistent high degree of attention to detail; task and repairs are performed with high degree of professionalism.Ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities.Good organization skills demonstrated concern for good housekeepingPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Requires walking primarily on a level surface during the workday. Reaching above shoulder heights and accessing racked/palletized goods, below the waist or lifting as required to move materials during the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques, and to operate lift-assist equipment (such as hoists and pallet jacks). Work EnvironmentThe work environment is found in a light production warehousing/shipping setting with primarily overhead lighting.
