LSO’s is headquartered in Brea, CA (North Orange County). In January 2023, the Company added its east coast facility in Somersworth, New Hampshire (formerly J-Pac Medical). We are currently seeking a self-motivated Customer Service Specialist with positive, engagement and collaborative energy to join our team and support the continued growth of the New Hampshire Facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining tactical management of manufacturing assets (people, equipment and facilities) at Life Science Outsourcing, Inc. The development of lean manufacturing techniques in the operations area is of key importance.

Core Responsibilities

People Management

• Coordinates production scheduling, staff planning and execution of the Production Plan to meet the Business Plan
• Strong abilities in conflict resolution, motivation, training, communication, analysis and efficient monitoring of production work flow
• Organization and coordination of a production team to manufacture quality product on schedule and in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with GMP
• Initiate and drive production and quality improvement projects in line with the company lean manufacturing requirements
• Build, lead, develop and motivate production team
• Communicate with other teams on production related issues
• Maintain positive employee relations
• Oversee all personnel actions – hiring, disciplinary measures, performance appraisals in conjunction with HR
• Manage staff associates, time & attendance ensuring that all records are kept promptly up to date including managing all time off requests for assigned lines to assure that production needs are met
• Implement company policies in conjunction with HR
• Formulate and implement training plans to meet compliance, versatility and development needs
• Create culture of ownership within and across teams that delivers optimized performance across all shifts

Safety & Quality

• Maintain a very high standard of housekeeping and GMP compliance
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by OSHA and company policy within the production department
• Demonstrate to Manufacturing Associates all required Quality System documentation, ensuring understanding and the need for compliance and accurate, timely documentation
• Ensure all Group Leads understand and meet facility related goals for Quality, Cost and Delivery

Communication

• Work daily as a team member with the other Production Supervisors to communicate and address shift issues, to improve performance and solve root cause problems
• Communicate daily to ensure a smooth transition at shift changeover
• Ensure coordination amongst appropriate departments in order to meet lead time and customer deadlines

Productivity

• Responsible and accountable for shift output performance, maximizing team focus on building quality product, drive improvements through the production process, equipment up time and product quality incorporated into relevant KPI’s
• Identify, understand, report and improve manufacturing variances
• Closely monitor and reduce amount of indirect activities by teams through active engagement
• Develop and assist in development of production product standards

Education and Experience

• High school diploma / GED or relevant experience.
• 5-7 years supervisory experience in medical device assembly/packing environment, or similar regulated industry.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer/PC experience; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) desirable;
