Through the LIFE Pittsburgh program, frail older adults can remain in their own home and receive a coordinated plan of care that enables them to maintain their independence and enjoy a safe and active life in the community.

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering durable medical equipment (DME) to participants homes or adult day facilities. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, conducting equipment setup and demonstrations, and ensuring that participants understand how to use their equipment properly. Additionally, the DME Technician performs basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of DME as needed.

Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or technical training in healthcare or related field preferred. 

· Valid PA Driver’s License AND Access to a Vehicle required. 

· Prior experience in healthcare delivery, customer service, or a related field preferred.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants and caregivers.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.

· Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of medical equipment functionality.

· Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, including DME, as required.

· Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

· Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines.

· Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
