Tarrytown Expocare is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Austin, TX
- Assist with biweekly payroll process using Paylocity
- Ensure all employees are paid accurately.
- Reconcile and approved benefit payments, including 401K
- Assist with other payroll related matters as needed
- Assist with monthly close process
- Reconcile accounts and identify and record journal entries as necessary
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Manage and file sales, property and other related taxes. File state annual reports as necessary.
- Assist with Accounts payable process as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ability to rapidly learn new software.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
- Two to four years of related experience required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
