Life Cycle Engineering is Hiring a Systems Administrator Near Charleston, SC

Systems Administrator/Integrator
Position Summary:
LCE is looking for candidates with a Systems Administrator/Integrator skillset for upcoming work at NIWC LANT in North Charleston, SC. Work is expected to start in Q2 of 2024.Clearance Required:
  • Must be a US citizen with a DoD Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with configuration of the test environment and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing
  • Conduct reviews of test environment to ensure configuration is correct and report any discrepancies prior to performing the Acceptance Testing
  • Document all changes to the test environment in the test report
  • Ensure patches for fielded Systems/Software work as designed
  • Document any verified issues, discrepancies encountered, or steps followed outside the established test plan in the configuration management tool
  • Update the data file libraries for test cases provided by the SME
  • Document any intermittent issues in government tracker when issues are encountered during testing
  • Provide computer engineering and technical writing for the sustainment of development, quality assurance, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing for CANES and ADNS systems
  • Perform IA scans after successful software qualification test and post results with the SQT report, and product baseline engineering documentation, and design-related technical briefs
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate
  • Must have an IAT lvl 3 compliant certification (CASP , CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
  • 5 years professional experience solving technical problems
  • Ability to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Experience with Common PC Operating System Environment (COMPOSE, Consolidated Afloat Networks Enterprise Services (CANES) - Navy Computing Systems, Microsoft Certified System Engineer/Administrator (MSCE/MCSA), Software Configuration and Change Management (SCCM), Windows PowerShell Script Development
  • Experience with virtualized systems deployment and administration.
